TBC will open their defence of the Pat Duffy Men’s National Cup against last seasons league champions UCC Demons. The first leg, at home, takes place the weekend of 22/23 October with the return leg in Cork the following weekend 29/30 October. Tip off times to be confirmed. TBC’s Super League Squad took part in the Annual Stuart Robbins Memorial Tournament in University of Limerick last weekend. First pool game was against Moycullen. This was TBC’s first game of preseason and proved to be very scrappy with players finding it difficult to get up to match speed and sharpness. TBC trailed by 6 points

TBC’s Sean Flood was in fantastic form for the Ireland U20 Men at the FIBA European Championship for Small Countries held in Greece, ending the tournament in the Top 5 point guards. Ireland placed 12th in the final standings and were unlucky not to reach the quarter final stages after wins over Netherlands, Albania, Kosovo and Slovakia.
