Congratulations to TBC’s Lauren Darcy (U15), Hugo McDonald (U15), Matthew Harper (U15), Kris Arcilla (U16), Conall Gordon (U17), Mark Gilleran (U17) and Sean Daly (U17) on receiving their Irish International Caps at an official ceremony at Basketball Ireland Headquarters, the National Basketball Arena on Saturday 24th September.
Over 150 of Ireland’s finest young basketball players ahad their achievements on the International stage recognised. Basketball Ireland President Theresa Walsh presented members of 11 international squads with their caps after a season of unprecedented activity.
This summer saw Ireland represented at the FIBA European Championships at U20, U18 and U16 level for both men and women. The U16 and U18 Women’s squads both qualified for quarter-finals and secured top eight finishes while many players received their first ever international caps as part of ongoing work with the U15 and U17 development squads.
